Sprayed Orbits series

〈분사된 궤도〉 시리즈는 한 점에서 접하는 원(tangent circle)을 연쇄적으로 연결해 곡선을 만들고, 물감을 분사해 그 궤적을 화면에 남기는 방식으로 제작된다. 기하학적 접점을 따라 원의 중심이 이동하며, 순환하는 원 운동은 내부와 외부가 통하는 이중적 방향을 지닌 움직임으로 전환된다. 붓질이 아닌 분사 방식은 손의 흔적을 지우고, 흩어지고 모이며 점진적으로 색을 변화하는 물감 입자의 자율적인 움직임을 드러낸다.

확장하는 곡선 구조와 산란하는 입자의 감각은 화면을 외부로 개방하고, 색과 형태는 공기와 빛, 시선의 작용을 거치며 형성된다. 거칠게 쌓인 표면은 화면과 대기, 관객의 몸을 하나의 촉각적 공간 안으로 끌어들인다. 이때 회화는 완결된 이미지를 제시하기보다, 감각과 지각이 매번 새롭게 구성되고 전이되는 조건이자 환경으로 작동한다.

The Sprayed Orbits series is produced by connecting tangent circles that meet at a single point to generate curves, and by spraying paint to inscribe their trajectories onto the canvas. As geometric points of contact unfold, the center of the circle shifts, transforming circular motion into a dual-directional movement through which interior and exterior permeate one another. Rather than brushwork, the spraying process erases the trace of the hand and reveals the autonomous movement of paint particles that disperse, gather, and gradually change in color.

The expanding curvilinear structures and the scattering of particles open the pictorial field outward. Color and form take shape through the interplay of air, light, and the viewer’s gaze. The roughly accumulated surface draw the painting, the surrounding atmosphere, and the viewer’s body into a single tactile space. In this way, painting functions not as a completed image but as a condition and environment in which sensation and perception are continuously reconfigured and transmitted.
