전시 ⟪Geometric Echoes⟫는 내면과 세계가 지닌 불안정한 상태를 회화적 공간에 투사하며, 정지된 회화의 화면이 보는 이의 지각 속에서 다시 흐르고 진동하는 가능성을 모색한다. 작업에서 기하학은 질서를 세우기 위한 도구가 아니라, 서로 다른 존재들을 연결하고 그 접속에서 발생하는 새로운 구조를 상상하게 만드는 실천적 장치로 작동한다. 이를 ‘수행적 기하학(performative geometry)’이라 부르며, 세계를 생성과 전이의 과정으로 바라본다. 곡선적 구성, 분사 기법, 차원의 전환과 생물학적 은유를 통해 형성된 화면은 하나의 완결된 실체라기보다, 형상이 생겨나고 사라지는 장에 가깝다. ⟪Geometric Echoes⟫는 회화를 고정된 이미지가 아니라, 감각과 지각이 다시 활성화되는 장소로 제안한다.
Geometric Echoes projects the unstable states of the inner self and the world onto painterly space and explores the possibility that a static pictorial surface can begin to flow and vibrate again within the viewer’s perception. In this exhibition, geometry does not function as a means of establishing order; rather, it operates as a practical device that connects heterogeneous entities and invites the imagination of new structures emerging from their points of contact. Choi refers to this approach as performative geometry, through which she views the world as a process of generation and transition. Formed through curvilinear compositions, spray techniques, dimensional shifts, and biological metaphors, the pictorial surfaces are closer to a field in which forms continuously emerge and dissolve than to completed entities. Geometric Echoes proposes painting not as a fixed image, but as a place where sensation and perception are reactivated.
